*The Board of the Faculty of Engineering* Members Undergraduate education Postgraduate education <<University's organisation	The Board of the Faculty of Engineering The Board of the Faculty of Engineering is responsible for undergraduate and postgraduate education, research, and co-operation with the surrounding world, within its sphere of activity. The role and tasks of the Faculty Board The Faculty Board is to function as a body that provides the President, the University's Governing Board, and the Departments with strategy, analysis and evaluations concerning issues such as the orientation and quality of undergraduate and postgraduate education, research, and co-operation with the surrounding world. The Board is also responsible for internationalisation issues. The Board's task is to plan, prepare for decisions, and evaluate. The Board is to draw up proposals for educational assignments, study programmes, quality control assignments, strategic plans and budgetary data for education and research. The Board takes decisions on certain issues in accordance with the Higher Education Ordinance and the University's order of Delegation. The Faculty Board's Sphere of responsibility: Undergraduate education The sphere of responsibility for undergraduate education comprises the MSc and BSc programmes in engineering, the Advanced Vocational Training programmes, Qualification Studies in Engineering, and single-subject courses in natural science and technology. Research/Postgraduate education The sphere of responsibility for research and postgraduate education comprises all of the research areas of Luleå University of Technology, except for those which belong to the Board of the Faculty of Arts and Sciences.
