
Over 100 participants attended the anniversary date of the alumni and former employees on October 15. Participants were taking part of a thorough program, including past and current president, finalists of the Year jubileumsalumner, lecturer Emma Pihl and a tour of the campus in Luleå.
The day was opened by President John Sterte and the two former rectors who were present; Ingegerd Palmer and Torbjörn Hedberg. The moderator Anders Granberg held talks about how the university developed during their years as principals and ended by looking into the future and what it has to offer LTU.
It was time for presentations by those who have been nominated for the award Jubileumsalumn. Present were Sara Gidlund, Peter Parnes, Maria Ågren and Per cultivation. They talked about their careers and what they had time since graduating from Luleå University.
Besides good food for lunch offered choir Snaps Academy at LTU on high-quality singing.
After lunch we took the lecturer Emma Pihl at and talked about the challenges of managing Generation Y, 80 - and 90 - those born. They place very different demands on their employers than previous generations and places a high value in being motivated for their work.
