Luleå University of Technology guarantees housing for all exchange students on university exchange programmes under the condition that the Application for Accommodation form is filled out.
Deadline for application of housing is April 30 for the autumn term and October 31 for the spring term.
Your accommodation will be available at the start of the term at the latest but normally from the 1st weekday of August/January.
There are a few different housing possibilities for exchange students. The most common are shared apartment and dorm room (corridor).
Shared apartment: You are provided with a single bedroom and will share kitchen, living room, bathroom and shower with three other students.
Dorm room (corridor): You are provided with a single room with private bathroom and shower and you share kitchen and living room with 4 to 11 other students.
The cost of apartment or dorm room is approximately the same. Rents vary between 2400 and 3000 SEK. Electricity, heating, water, laundry facilities and Internet access are all included in the rent. Pillow, blanket and bed-linen are not included.
All student housing is located within 3 km radius of campus.
Housing is administered by the International Office with the help of Luleå University Reception Committee (LURC). The application is done at the homepage of LURC. There you will also find more detailed information and a forum with Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ).
Note! It is obligatory to send in a housing application even if you plan to find your own housing.
