Interesting housing solution is about to come

Now Luleå University of Technology, student unions and Luleå, get together to work with several different solutions to finding homes for new students. University management and municipal leaders have had meetings and work with concrete proposals.

On Wednesday, August 22 is the time for new students to register at Luleå University of Technology.  More than 2,000 more students than last year have been admitted to educations at Luleå University of Technology. That makes a total number of 10 827 new students, including programs, courses and distance learning courses during the fall semester 2012.  Never ever has the demand for student housing been so great.

- It's great that so many students come to Luleå University of Technology, and Luleå. Now we need to do everything we can to find housing solutions for the students, says Mauritz Danielsson, Head of Student Services at Luleå University.

Several concrete solutions is about to come so he is hopeful.

- This will work out well, but we have to work hard for it, and I personally have never experienced such a positive mobilization between Luleå University of Technology and the Student Union and Luleå, to find homes for our new students. We really want this to work out, says Mauritz Danielsson.
