Ormberget outdoor area (you can almost see it from campus), is perfect for anyone who enjoys skiing, both cross country and downhill, and outdoor life in general.
The 2.3 km long cross country ski track are always perfectly prepared and from 2011 there is a new snowmaking system to ensure that there is enough snow in the tracks as early asin November. The ski slope has both rails and a big jump and a small lift. A sunny weekend is perfect for a visit to Ormberget. There is always something to do - both winter and summer.
Ormberget in winter is a high quality recreational facility a few miles from Luleå's city center and a short bike ride or walk from campus. Ormberget attracts both exercising elite athletes and families with children who wants to have a grand day out in the fresh air . Spring and summer are the traffic of jogging Luleåbor dense. If you want relax and have some piece and quiet, just take the trail into the woods, sit down and enjoy your picnic.
