LTU has five campuses

Luleå University has 16,000 students over 1500 employees, over 1,000 are teachers and researchers.

LTU Luleå

Most of LTU’s programmes are taught in Luleå, for example the master’s programmes in economics, engineering and sociology, and our teacher’s training programmes. The majority of our students at LTU live and study in Luleå. There are about 4000 student flats located close to the university, only cycling distance from the centre of Luleå.

LTU Piteå

Communication Studies with specialisations for people planning careers as journalists, sound engineers, studio musicians, and radio producers are a few of the programmes that are taught in Piteå. Right next to the campus is a Science Park, Acusticum, that has a focus on technology and media.

LTU Skellefteå

The Skelleftå campus offers programmes in computer game programming, computer graphics, TV and film production design etc. The campus also has a master programme and is one of the leaders in research in the field of wood technology.

LTU Kiruna

Space is the theme at Kiruna. Here LTU holds the only Master programme in Space Technology in Sweden. The campus' proximity to Esrange, the Swedish Institute of Space Physics and other “science players” make it possible to run many student projects in cooperation with other activities related to space science.

LTU Filipstad

Luleå University of Technology is the new principal of the prestigious Bergsskolan in Filipstad, Värmland. The background to the two universities' cooperation, with course starts already the academic year 2012/2013, is the expansion of the mining industry in northern and Bergslagen are in the middle in.
