Again, it was a great result for LTU students conspicuous car in Shell Eco Marathon, better than last year and second in the category of urban concepts - ethanol. 288 km on the equivalent of a litre of gasoline was the result for the students of Team Baldos from Luleå University of Technology and their lime green Baldos III. A large audience came to watch the new car, everything from seniors to students and an entire kindergarten class.

The students from Luleå University of Technology, as part of Team Baldos, has conducted tests to a deadline for their little cranberry red car Baldos. On Friday, tests were made on the Arcus hall in Lulea and on Saturday afternoon they are off to Rotterdam in the Netherlands to compete in this year's Shell Eco Marathon.
Following great successes in Europe, Baldos II, the little, lingenberry-red hybrid car is on its way to the USA. The car was designed and built by students in different MSc engineering programs at Luleå University of Technology. The car will be featured in a permanent exhibit at House of Sweden, the Swedish Embassy in Washington DC.
Two cars, performed well in their different classes at this year's Shell Eco-marathon. Skilži was the best Swedish car in the prototype class, and after a few technical glitches, Baldos II was able to complete the competition with top results as the only vehicle approved for road use.
