How about a portable device that converts heat from the cabin stove to electricity? It was one of many interesting prototypes that were showcased in the project course Sustainable Living, where students have developed and realized technical systems from a sustainable perspective.
Good ideas and technical expertise has resulted in a solution for house-heating in developing countries. Students at Luleå University of Technology, participating in a project course called "Sustainable Living", has developed a self-circulating system that generates and retains heat, which interests the organization Engineers Without Borders.
