After the course the student is able to understand central concepts within the area of knowledge management and has experience of how knowledge is created, spread and used in an organization.
Competence and knowledge are important for the growth of a company. The technology is quickly developing and the globalization means that you have to be flexible and requires constant changes in your business. Knowledge about Knowledge Management is of great importance for the company, especially for managers and for those involved in the work of changing business.
Contents:
• Introduction to Knowledge Management
• Definitions of the concepts Data – Information – Knowledge– Competence – Experience
• Describe tacit and explicit knowledge and how to express tacit knowledge
• How to capture, share, disseminate and create knowledge
• The use of IT in Knowledge Management
• Make a survey of Knowledge work in an organization.
