International Orchestra Academy I

The RSPO Orchestra Academy is geared towards students who want to heighten their knowledge as orchestra musicians. The course is taught in Stockholm in collaboration with the Royal Stockholm Philharmonic Orchestra.

The RSPO Orchestra Academy is divided into two one-term courses: Orchestra Academy I and Orchestra Academy II. In addition to participation in scheduled orchestra productions the courses includes tuning sessions, sectional rehearsals, chamber music, instrumental instruction and lectures. To apply candidates must submit a high quality DVD or electronic video file and successful candidates will be called to auditions for selection/ranking.

Entry requirements for International Orchestra Academy I

Bachelor of Arts Degree in music or equivalent and acceptance of an audition or competency test.

Submitted samples of work of good quality in DVD format or electronic files will be reviewed for eligibility. Candidates are then called to audition for selection / ranking.

Selection K The selection procedure is based on application tests. Applicants are placed in different selection groups depending on instrument.
