Course Aim
The aim of the course is that students through exercises shall have trained methods to audit organizations regarding environmental and quality management systems. After completing the course each students shall be able to use the tools and international standards available to perform audits of environmental and quality management systems.
Contents
A run-through of basics in Environmental and Quality Management together with international standards that concern audits of environmental and quality management systems. To plan, perform and report an audit of a quality and/or environmental management system, in theory as well as in practice. Application of the knowledge in auditing techniques in real audits of organisations in the region.
Realization
Campus; Lectures, group assignments and one larger project. Guest lecturers are used to present case studies. Group assignments are presented both in written reports and/or orally. Compulsory attendance for certain sessions is required. Internet; Individual and group assignments connected to the course literature and other web material. Communication with teachers mainly through the Internet.
Examination
Continuous examination individually or in groups.
Remarks
Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se, not later than five days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
