Course Aim
After completion of this course the student shall be able to give an account of how vital parts of Swedish environmental legislation is interpreted and applied in Swedish companies.
Contents
The most important constitution in Swedish environmental legislation is the Environmental Code. The Environmental Code contains a multitude of requirements regarding companies and their activities. The course highlights how the most important parts of the Environmental Code can be interpreted and how these parts can be applied within companies. The different elements of the course gives deeper knowledge within areas such as; environmental impact assessments (EIA), environmentally hazardous activities, contaminated areas and after-treatment, chemical compounds, waste and producer responsibility, environmental reporting and risk assessments. The course is appropriate for those who come into contact with environmental issues through their work in companies or those working with environmental supervision for the authorities. The course is also appropriate for students needing to supplement their education in the environmental field.
Realization
The course is held as an Internet based course at quarter speed without gatherings. Learning is achieved by self studies and tutoring through the Internet where examination is continuous.
Examination
Webb based tests and assignments. Alternative examination might exist.
Remarks
Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se, not later than five days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
