Course Aim
After completion of this course each student shall:
• be able to describe the development of CSR
• be able to describe the different components of CSR
• be able to identify strengths and weaknesses in a company’s CSR work
Contents
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is about the ethics and responsibilities of companies. During the course, concepts, methods and tools within CSR are discussed, such as Sustainable Development, Corporate Citizenship, Business Ethics, Codes of Conduct and ISO 26000. The course relies upon both good and bad examples of how companies work with CSR. The course is appropriate for all with an interest in the ethics and responsibilities of companies, including those actively working with these issues in their professional careers.
Realization
The course is Internet based and runs at quarter speed without any gatherings. Learning is achieved by self studies and tutoring through the Internet where examination is continuous.
Examination
Webb based tests and assignments. Alternative examination might exist.
Remarks
Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact the ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se, not later than five days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
