Converging plate boundaries and collision zones.  Structural analysis: Descriptive geometric analysis inkluding mapping and stereographic projection. Stress and Strain. Kinematiic och dynamic analysis. Primary structures: Primary sedimentary and volcanic structures used for structural analysis Secondary structures: Normal and reversed faults, thrusts and nappes, Strike-slip faults. Stress distribution at faults. Folding, lineation and schistosity. Fractures and joints.
