Bachelors degree of at least 180 ECTS, major in either business administration, psychology or sociology.


Course Aim
Upon completion of this course the student should be able to theorize and reflect upon the relationships between strategy, organization and management control. The student should also be able to theorize and reflect upon behavioural aspects related to management control. The student should critically assess the theories and models included in the course.

Contents
The course brings up theories of Management Control in a broader sense and from different perspectives. It deals with both the managing of an organisation and the managing within an organisation, the latter on various organisational levels. The strategic Management Control will be studied and linked to management philosophy and business development.

Realization
Lectures, lessons, seminars and work shops.

Examination
The examination is assessed in performances at work shops and the compulsory sessions, in compulsory case studies (assignment reports) and take-home examination. The course awards the grades pass with distinction (VG) pass (G) or fail (U).

Remarks
The course can not be included in a degree together with the course R7003N.
Students must register for the courses themselves, or contact ETS educational administration eduets@ltu.se, not later than five days after the quarter commences. Failure to do so can result in the place being lost. This rule also applies to students with a guaranteed place.
