We give all our students a warm welcome

To you who are DISTANCE STUDENTS we have information on how to get started with studies on the links Welcome Pack, Check List / FAQ and Getting Started Guide in the left menu. For those who are campus students start their studies at Luleå University of Technology with a ten-day introductory period, the so-called zero period, where you get to know the university, fellow students and other LTU students.

The Orientation period will help you quickly get into the life of a LTU student. You can choose from various activities, such as information about the library or computer rooms, or a lecture on multimedia support, stress, etc. For those wanting to read some technical training there are refresher courses in math, the so-called matte cap. Information about your education, jobs, teachers, counselors, etc. are an important part of the introduction. See also the link the first week of LTU in the left menu.

Phos is specially trained LTU students who take care of you and your class during the orientation period. Look for someone who wears overalls and sunglasses. We are convinced that your studies become better if you take the time to have a little fun sometimes. Parties and other social activities are an important part of your student life.

After a few weeks at LTU, you'll notice that student life is hard, if you choose to have it so. Gasque, dinners, bands and club nights, Spex and ski trips are relentless. You can find people with the same interests as you in any of the student unions or associations. Do you want to take it easy sometimes, you take a ski trip or a down-hill trip on Ormberget, three kilometers from the university, or an evening stroll around the campus.
