Audio technology 180 hp.

This study programme at the department of Art,communication and education is the country’s most famous university-level education on the subject of audio technology. It is provided in specially-built premises for musical, radio and TV production as well as post-production and live-mixing in stereo and surround. You can, with the aid of cutting edge audio-technical equipment, record concerts given by the school’s musical students. The latest addition to our infrastructure is the studio Acusticum, a concert-hall with variable acoustics where we can locate parts of our teaching.

Uusing state of the art sound equipmen it´s possible to recording concerts given by the school's music students. Latest addition to our infrastructure is Studio Acusticum who is a concert hall with variable acoustics where we can locate some of our teaching.

The training is three years.

The first year provides foundation training in various acoustic areas: PA-technology, broadcast / distribution of TV / radio, recording, music knowledge, acoustics and audio electronics.

The second year contains depressions in music recording, film, audio engineering, live mixing in surround sound and post production in 5.1. You have an elective course where you for example can immerse yourself in digital technology and music acoustics. Clinical learning is an important part in the training and you practice in one of your preferred audio company second year.

The third year includes a course in audio engineering research and a final independent project (degree project) where a second internship / work-based learning degree course. During this final year are able to read three elective courses. Examples of courses is the final process and mastering, programming in the audio field, music recording technology 2, the recording of Western art music and audio electronics deepening.

After completion of the program, you can apply for a bachelor's degree with specialization audio technology.
