
General entry requirements, second cycle
Academic degree minimum of 180 credits, (Bachelor or Bachelor of engineering) with a natural science or technical profile of at least 60 credits. A minimum of 15 credits mathematics must be included in the degree.

The MSc program in Wood Technology will give you best possible knowledge related to wood material and industrial production of wood meeting up with the needs and expectations from the wood based industry. By combining your prior BSc degree with the specific knowledge in wood and wood technology LTU offers you will become an attractive competence at the labour market.
Students from all over the world enroll this programme and teaching is therefore in English.
The program has a pronounced project-oriented profile. You will be supervised by an experienced researcher in both the theoretical studies as well as in the more practical projects work, the latter involving participation in our on-going research projects.
Only five students are admitted to the programme each semester.
The projects are popular, but also demanding. We expect you to take initiatives, be the driving force in your own learning process, and show results. You can specialize in one of the following research areas:
• Wood technology and production,
• Wood physics, drying and modification
• Wood products engineering
