Routine description VFU placement

The Department of Health Sciences has signed an agreement with The County Council and all municipalities in the county for vfu-places for the courses offered at the department.

 VFU locations offered throughout the county of Norrbotten. This may involve some traveling and living elsewhere during the placement periods.

Routine description

1. Course coordinator informs the students, the semester before the actual placement rate.
2. VFU administrator sends requests in the activities in which Health Sciences has signed a contract.

Placement in Norrbotten County

Hospital care, for term 4:
Sunderby, Piteå Alvdal, Kalix, Gällivare and Kiruna hospital.
Care of the elderly and disabled in the municipalities.

Open forms of rehabilitation, the term 4:
Garnis rehab, outpatient rehab in Luleå, Boden, respectively.

Municipal elderly care and care for the disabled, the term 4:
Arjeplog, Arvidsjaur, Boden, Gällivare, Haparanda, Jokkmokk, Kalix, Kiruna, Luleå, Piteå, Älvsbyn, Överkalix and Övertorneå.

Primary health care, the term 5:

There are 38 clinics in Norrbotten. Of the 32 operated by the County Council and 6 are owned by private care providers.
