Be one of many students who give your opinion about your studies and student social environment at Luleå University of Technology. From May 7 and three weeks ahead, you get the chance to influence by responding to a survey whose results provide a "Student Satisfaction Index" NSI.
- Satisfied (Nöjd) Student Index is a valuable tool for us in the university management to get an indication of what students think and if there are weaknesses, we use that information to support improvements that benefit students throughout their studies, says Johan Sterte Vice Chancellor at Luleå University of Technology.
Last time, NSI was conducted was in 2009, with a response rate of 50% on average. This time the aim is higher, and you that are a student, in the nearest days, will recieve an email with an individual link to this year's NSI survey in which you are, completely anonymous, offered to give your views on LTU and your studies. Until May 28, 2012 you have the possibility to fill in your answers.
NSI, Student Satisfaction Index, is conducted every three years at the university. It is intended for all students in any program and to students who read more than 15 credits in any single course. NSI offers students the opportunity to answer questions about, for example, the physical environment at the university, the service provided, the respons you get in the education and examination, and the social activities offered.
The results of student satisfaction index LTU will use in different types of educational issues, local planning, equitable treatment, etc. The results will be an important part in the University's business planning for the 2013th
- The goal is that the students will contribute to improvements during their years of studies, says Johan Sterte.
