More about degree descriptions and degree certificates

A degree description states local and central requirements that must be fulfilled for you as a student to be entitled to apply for a degree certificate for a certain degree.  The central requirements are governed by the Higher Education Ordinance and apply to a certain type of degree at all universities/higher education institutions in Sweden.  The local requirements are drawn up at individual seats of learning and apply together with the central requirements. If you follow an established syllabus or course requirement list that applies to your programme, you will fulfil the course requirements for that degree.  Any further requirements for the degree will be stated in the degree description.

Beroende på om du är antagen till en utbildning före eller efter 1 juli 2007 så gäller olika examensbestämmelser. Är du antagen före den 1 juli 2007 har du rätt att ansöka om examensbevis enligt 1993 års examensbestämmelser t o m 30/6 2015. Är du antagen efter den 1 juli 2007 kommer du automatiskt att prövas mot en examen enligt 2007 års bestämmelser.  Har du frågor om examensbevis och examensbeskrivningar enligt 1993 års bestämmelser ska du kontakta examen @ ltu.se
