Master i informationssäkerhet

Antalet nätverk och databaser ökar i samhället samtidigt som de nya globala informationssystemen gör att säkerhetsaspekterna blir större och mer komplicerade. Inom marknadsföring och försäljning av varor och tjänster via nätet finns behov av personer som utvecklar nya system och som löser frågor kring säkerhet. Jämsides med e-tjänsteutvecklingen ökar behoven av säker hantering och autenticiering av identiteter när myndigheter/ organisationer kommunicerar med medborgare över Internet. Utbildningen ger dig som vill arbeta med säkerhetsfrågor i företag/organisationer/ myndigheter en bra grund att stå på. Den ger ett managementperspektiv på informationssäkerhet, det handlar inte så mycket om hur man tekniskt implementerar säkerhetssystem. Programmet ges på engelska.

The first year

We define the concepts of information security: safety, critical systems, security classification, vulnerability, risk management and risk analysis, etc. You will study techniques for transferring information between individuals and how information can be achieved safely and securely, professional roles in which security is crucial, standards of information security, and current research in the field. Important aspects of security also include collaboration and decision-making. In addition, security problems associated with so-called E-services will be considered. Your first year of studies will conclude with independent project work in a company.

The second year

Throughout the entire second year of studies, your work on a thesis project in cooperation with a local company or organization will involve both practical work and writing. You will learn more about secure E-services, critical systems and Internet security. Important components are control and management of security, which entail e.g., security planning and continuity planning as tools for minimizing the cost of damage incurred in the event of disruptions in operations. Other important aspects are the formulation and implementation of security policy.
