The University’s departments

Luleå University of Technology conducts research in the Faculty of engineering and the Faculty of arts and social sciences. Research at the University comprises 70 research subjects in 13 departments. The research is on the whole applied research and is characterised by multidisciplinary cooperation between the University’s departments in close interaction with trade and industry and society.
