The purpose of the Study- and writing support is to help students at all levels acquire the specialised skills they need for academic success, from taking effective lecture notes to structuring an essay, lab report, PM or a thesis.

Do not hesitate to ask seemingly simple questions. Consultations are not only for help with writing. They may also be used to discuss any topics relevant to your studying at Luleå University.

Tteachers from the university language department, are working with the support. They are experienced in academic writing and student tutoring. Wednesdays are designated for help in English.

Helping students help themselves. You work on your text or your questions with the teacher who gives you feedback and advice for improvements. There will be no actual proof-reading. The final text or oral presentation is always your achievement.

This consultation is at your personal initative. There is no connection to a department or study course.
