High quality for LTU Sociology Education
On Wednesday came news from Swedish National Agency for Higher Education(HSV) that the education in sociology at Luleå University of Technology has a high quality. All the evaluated degree objectives for sociology education in Luleå has high effectiveness and HSV believes that education as a whole is of high quality.
- It is good news, says Johan Sterte Vice Chancellor at Luleå University of Technology.
In the evaluation made by the Swedish National Agency for Higher Education, half of the sociology of education in Sweden is considered to have "high quality" and almost one-third "poor quality". The high quality of LTU's sociology of education is a result from a continuous effort to develop the quality of programs and courses, and the university's investment in skills development.
The result of this work is that LTU currently has a very high level of expertise in the sociology education. It has also meant that LTU has increased working life extension in training.
- This means that LTU's sociology students are well prepared and attractive as workinglabour, says Johan Sterte.
