May is an intense month for many students. Courses are to be completed and that means studying for exams, submissions and presentations. Students on the fourth year of the master programme in Industrial Design Engineering have now presented their final project in the course Advanced Product Design.
Each group has worked with a company. The first team was working on behalf of Kusthuset AB. The students had the task of presenting a tool carrier, a machine on which you for example can mount a snow plow or a mower according to need and season. The second group worked with Nyckelbryggerier, which resulted in the design of a vodka bottle.
The third team worked with Polaris, which is an eyewear provider. Their mission was to develop a clip-on suncover. It is a product that is placed over your regular glasses to make them work as sunglasses. Polaris management attended at the presentation. And they liked what they saw.
– It's amazing. We are deeply impressed, said Staffan Preutz, founder of Polaris.
