On March 13, Johan Sandstrom, at environmental management, became a professor of business administration.
– I am a business economist with a focus on organizational issues. One may wonder why I have ended up on environmental management together with all engineers. But ever since the thesis, I have been working on environmental issues, says Johan Sandström.
In his thesis, he examined how companies, large and small, relate to environmental issues and how it impact the business.
– My research has largely focused on companies, their role and responsibilities in society. In the U.S. we talk about CSR, corporate social responsibility. I think it covers much of what we in Sweden discuss about the corporate responsibility for sustainable development, means Johan Sandström.
He has recently published a book on the subject,Organization and responsibility: how organizational processes impedes responsibility-taking. Read more about it below.
