New learning environment is tested

Learning room is a subproject under the focus area An entrepreneurial university where the aim is to create new forms of learning environments and teaching styles. The project has role models at other universities identified and later visited, then have local workshops conducted. This has resulted in the idea being tested.

NÄXT network met

As an activity within the focus area The collaborative university operates Unit for industry and society at Umeå University since spring 2012 NÄXT network - the network for external collaboration in education.

New lessons from the International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference

In september participated Mats Westerberg, Vinit Parida, Daniel Örtqvist, Kaarin Kivimäki and David Rönnberg Sjodin, the conference IEEC - International Entrepreneurship Educators Conference. The purpose of the visit was to interact with international entrepreneurship teachers including how to create an entrepreneurial university in a non-metropolitan region Umeå and Luleå

Senior expertise contributes with knowledge, skills and experience

During the year, four mingle event held at Uminova Innovation to engage senior expertise to start-ups. One factor for the successful commercialization and growth is access to skills, knowledge and experience. During the events together startups and experienced entrepreneurs to exchange thoughts and ideas. Senior competence is part of the concept "A perfect match" which is to find the right skills at the right time for new business ideas and companies in development.
