The research at Luleå University of Technology is organized in strong interdisciplinary research areas and in close cooperation with industry and society. Our strategic research is based on the technical field in which two of the areas are Green Technology and Mining/Metallurgy have been identified as strategic areas of government. In Mining and Metallurgy, we are unique in that we have research on the whole chain from extraction to final product.
