How to get to Luleå

Luleå is situated north of the Swedish capital Stockholm, and is well connected with frequent air flights and trains. Flying time is little over one hour and time for trains is around 14 hours.

By car

E4 from the north (from Haparanda)
Follow the signs for Luleå and take the Rutvik and Porsön exit. Follow the signs for Porsön for about 7 kilometres and you will see Aurorum Science Park on your right and the University campus to your left.

E4 from the south or north (main entrance)
From the south, pass the river Luleå and take the road 97 exit for Luleå at the Boden/Lule intersection. Take the same exit if coming from the north. At the first roundabout follow the signs for Porsön / Universitetet / Teknikens hus.

Follow the signs for Luleå. Then follow the signs for Porsön / Universitetet / Teknikens hus.

By bus

From Luleå bus station take the local bus to the University campus at Porsön. Which bus to take will depend on whether you arrive during the summer or the rest of the year.

From the railway station, walk the short distance to Luleå bus station (it takes about 3 minutes). From there, take the local bus to the University campus at Porsön. Which bus to take will depend on whether you arrive during the summer or the rest of the year.
