PhD Yang Jing on improving product quality through knowledge management
Quality Technology and Management holds a seminar every Friday from 12:00 to 12:30. The seminars are held in the stairwell that connects the Quality Technology and Management personnel offices and are open to everyone to come and listen, discuss or present.
Today PhD Yang Jing featured her ongoing research aimed at improving product quality of manufacturing companies by making better use of knowledge management. Her study is a conceptual work, and she plans to use the House of Quality, a tool within the Quality Function Deployment methodology. She intends to create a method for companies to grasp the most important production-related knowledge that can be used in the development of the company's products or manufacturing processes. Her goal is that the model could provide the basis for a scientific journal article.
