Material Mechanics
The research ranges from simulation and modelling of chains of manufacturing processes, individual processes to materialmodelling. This can support the integrated design of manufacturing process and product.
The materal modelling is crucial when simulating manufacturing processes as they often cause changes in the material structure and corresponding changes in the material response. Physical based models and particularly multicale models for the material behaviour can also support the design of materials for improved mechanical properties.
