Mineral Processing
Here at Luleå University of playing the utilization of ores and production of industrial minerals play a key role in teaching and research because of its proximity to the strong mining industry and its surroundings in northern Sweden.
Mineral Processing deals with unit operations and processes for the preparation of solid, particulate matter, primarily ore minerals, industrial minerals and solid fuels but also waste, recycling materials, and products from the process industry. With our civil engineering's and master's programs, we contribute experties and competenece to the mining industry.
The subject was established as one of the first at Luleå University of Technology. Since 1983, more than 40 doctoral dissertations were produced and today the research group consists of 7 senior researchers, five of which are supervisors, one research engineer and 5 PhD students.
