Workshop Laser Welding
Laser welding allows users to innovative design solutions. Laser welding process is fast, accurate and gives little heat input. This can be translated into economic and technological advantages through effective and flexible production of high quality.
Welding with 15 kW fiber laser
On 17 November we held a workshop in which participants were given a theoretical analysis of laser welding process and its possibilities. In the afternoon they worked in the laser lab to practical improve themselves in laser welding, including welded to different joint type and material. They used the LTU's 15 kW fiber laser that provides the ability to weld up to 20mm thick material with 1-2 m/min. The laser is one of the most powerful in the world of its kind.
