Traffic Engineering

Research is going on regarding accessibility and traffic safety. Traffic safety problems for youth and elderly people are studied. Means to increase the friction for walkers on slippery roads are also studied.

Our research activities within the traffic is mainly focused on road safety for vulnerable road users but also other road users are affected. Children, youth, elderly and disabled are also a part of our research. Our business also includes the planning and development of road safety measures, security, sustainable transport, traffic analysis, school routes, before and after studies of road features, speeds of vehicles, traffic safety on roads or industrial areas, etc..
