Urban Water Engineering covers all aspects of urban water systems (stormwater, drinking water and waste water) with respect to collection, transport, treatment and organization / planning. Research in this field aims at structures for good economy and environment, wise use of resources and care for society's safety and health.

Established in 1993, the Urban Water Engineering research group has produced 11 doctoral theses since then. Today, the group consists of eight senior researchers, three associate professors, two post docs, a coordinator and nine graduate students.
