Present position

Professor in Wood Technology at Luleå University of Technology, Skellefteå Campus since 1988.

Field of expertise

My main research interest has been in the field of Wood Production Technology, with special emphasize on methods for improvement of the utilization of wood raw material. I have also been working with band sawing technology, problems related to wood windows and gluing technology.

Teaching and supervision

Supervision PhD-students: 15 already examined and 12 current students.

Doctoral disputations: Acted as opponent 5 times and member of the award committee 12 times.

Teaching experience: Started 1981 to build up a Master of Science program in Wood Technology and have since then been teaching in this program.

International experience

Partner in two EU–project in the IV framework programme. (X-ray LogScanner and STUD). COST E 44.
