Research

The overall aim of my research is in collaboration with the county's primary industry to develop strategies, methods and tools designed to increase performance in continuous processes. Methods and tools will be based on statistical process control and statistical design of experiments to achieve capable processes and process knowledge.

More specific objectives are to develop statistical and rational decision methods for experimental design issues related to quality improvement of industrial processes, with particular focus on continuous processes. Typical issues in this area is the high degree of autocorrelation, multivariate data, variable time delays, limitations in the ability to perform different experimental designs in a random trial order, long experimental times in the complex processes that make experiments sensitive to unexpected events, and the need for process control.
