Biography

I'm currently a Ph.D. student in Control Engineering at Luleå University of Technology. I received my M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering with a specialization in Signals & Systems from Luleå University of Technology in 2009 and my diploma in Electrical and Communication Engineering from Berne University of Applied Sciences, Burgdorf, Switzerland. My current research focuses on the development of novel traffic counting methods within the framework of the iRoad project. My main research interests include parameter estimation, target tracking, and array signal processing.

Detection and Monitoring of Vulnerable Road Users

The objective of this thesis is to investigate and evaluate different sensing systems and principles for detection and monitoring of vulnerable road users (pedestrians, bicyclists, etc.).
