Born 1969 in Luleå, married, two daughter's 11/4 year (Klara/Alva) and one son 9 year (Emil).
Degrees in energy engineering and inorganic-/thermal process chemistry. Seventeen years experience of R&D work in the area of thermo-chemical biomass conversion both at the Department of Inorganic Chemistry/Energy Technology and Thermal Process Chemistry at Umeå University (Assistant professor 2003-2006, Senior Lecturer 2003, Adj. Senior Lecturer 2002-2003; Ph D 1995-1999, Project Assistant 1993-1994) and at Energy Technology Center in Piteå (Research Leader 2006, Laboratory Manager/Senior Scientist 1999-2003; Development Manager 1997-1998). Extensive and close collaboration with industry/institute, especially EON, LKAB, Vattenfall, Skellefteå Kraft, ÅF, TPS, ETC, SP, Innventia, MEFOS, Bioenergy 2020+ and local, regional and national enterprises. Presently (since 2007), Chair Professor and Head of Division, Division of Energy Engineering at Luleå University of Technology.
