Background, purpose

This project has come about as a result of the analysis of the project portfolio as TräCentrum North conducted in 2012, where it was revealed that an important question to answer for the increased use of wood in construction is: "When are cracks in structures dangerous?"

The aim is to develop a methodology to assess the risk of fractures in congested areas (voltage level, flaw, etc.). The method can also provide a basis for argument about changes in reduction factor according to Eurocode 5th The facts, knowledge and experience gathered in the completed subproject 814 Cracks in structures applied in this project.
