Karl Andersson is the Executive Director of CDT, Centre for Distance-spanning Technology at Luleå University of Technology.

Who would you recommend to participate in the Gender Contact Point Day?

- We would very much like to invite the participants of the CDT 5G and datacentre project.

Why is the collaboration between academia, industry and public sector important to your organisation?

- In our role as a centre, triple helix collaboration is a core part of our operations.


How does your organisation integrate equality into your daily operations and what results can you see?

- We have been active in this field for over ten years and have successively taken steps towards a more gender-equal work life and a gender-equal community in general, even though there are many challenges. Results have not always been instantaneous, but through persistent, goal-oriented efforts, we can finally see that we are now actively contributing to more equal recruitment. Especially when it comes to doctoral students, the CDT has contributed to the creation of a more gender-equal situation than we had before.
