Use of Higher Strength Steel in Tubular Tower for Wind Turbines The main topic of Christine’s research is use of higher steel grades in tubular towers used for wind turbines.
Project develops the metal industry connected companies of the Bothnian Arc (Finland-Sweden) to apply opportunities of the large local projects (such as mining and energy industry) and globalisation of the market in the future
High temperature tribologi of a thermo-mechanical forming of ultra high-strength steel.
Abrasion and fatigue properties of nano-structured silicon-alloy steel.
The project is implemented in collaboration with Norrlands Teknikcenter AB (NTC) The company has seen improvement potential in one of their existing products. There is a wish for an updated and improved design solution for a front end of a snow mobile. Current design of the front end has limitations when exposes to extreme usage. A new design solution structure will be designed with the help of modeling and simulation tools.

SSAB is a global leader in value added, high strength steel. SSAB offers products developed in close cooperation with its customers to reach a stronger, lighter and more sustainable world.
Olofsfors works in developing, manufacturing and sales within two different business areas, tracks for forestry machines and wear steel for construction machines. Most of the products are in hardened boron steel.
Industrial project with Rerail AB - Fatigue testing of mount on rail Rail to one hundred kilometres of railroad weighs about twelve thousand tons and the production of the same produces approximately twenty-four thousand tons of carbon dioxide. From a global perspective, the environmental benefits enormous. Project Concept To increase rail fatigue strength has a number of design changes been proposed. The project aims to clarify what impact the various changes has on fatigue resistance.
