New digital collaboration platform for research

Published: 27 March 2019

Now it is clear that the Center for Innovation and eHealth and Region Västerbotten together with a number of other players receive support from Vinnova for the Rinaldo project to create a collaboration platform.

The purpose of Rinaldo is to create a user-based platform and test bed that is a linked ecosystem where data makes it possible for companies, suppliers and citizens to transform healthcare through innovation into sustainable business models in e-health.

The Rinaldo project will work actively with:

1) Infrastructure to support data sharing, interoperability and data analysis capabilities.

2) Design and implement innovative solutions for key challenges identified by stakeholders.

3) Create an innovative environment. Rinaldo provides opportunities for several synergy effects that will promote research and development and new collaborations. Provide new combinations of resources and ideas among linked partners, national and global in e-health. Rinaldo is demand driven based on needs of owners. Support from multinational networks will strengthen regional SMEs, create growth and synergies, and change the healthcare system in the long term.

In addition to Region Västerbotten which coordinates the project, Region Västernorrland and Region Jämtland Härjedalen participate, as well as Umeå University, Luleå University of Technology, the Middle School, Uppsala University, Karolinska University and Peak Innovation in the project.
