Hjalmar Lundbohm Research Center

Hjalmar Lundbohm Research Center stands for the belief that good and innovative research within the field is fertilized by a deep and trusting cooperation between academia and industry. It is therefore important to try to understand and respect the different circumstances which apply to each business.

On the one hand, the freedom to generate interesting research and formulation of research-related shoulder much a matter for the individual researcher and research community. On the other hand, LKAB have a strong interest in identifying research areas of great importance for LKAB.

The Foundation: Hjalmar Lundbohm Research Center

In the memorandum of association is regulated Foundation activities including management of the 100 million carried over from LKAB, and disbursement of funds to HLRC.

Foundation Board consists of four members, two from the LTU and two from LKAB (Chair)

Centre of Exellence: Hjalmar Lundbohm Research Center - HLRC

In a cooperation between LTU and LKAB, the activities at HLRC.

Rector at the university has delegated the work of HLRC to a board consisting of three members from the LTU and max. six members from LKAB (Chair).
