Duration: 2012-2014
The railway industry is facing an number of challenges such as a changing environment and increased demand on infrastructure availability. The Swedish railway deregulation has also lead to that there is today a numbers of different actors involved in the operation and maintenance of the railway instead of just the one.
To help manage these challenges, the results of this project will be used to establish information logistic solutions that support a dynamic maintenance program and the maintenance process. This will facilitate the cooperation between roles within the process, independent of organizational belonging. The actors within and connected to the maintenance will also achieve an understanding of the linkage between specific maintenance actions and quality of service.
To achieve required results an information logistic framework will be developed for increased effectiveness and efficiency of the dynamic maintenance program process, with regard to the goal levels of service qualities for different asset types throughout their whole life cycle.
Work completed to date includes participating in Trafikverkets project in designing information modelling and the mapping of concern architecture aimed at supporting the maintenance process.
The project has also been involved in a pre-study with Sweco, Damill och Tyréns and a demonstrator development project for eMaintenance demonstrator.
