Centre of Advanced Mining and Metallurgy

CAMM (Center for Advanced Mining and Metallurgy) was created in 2010 as the strategic research area of Sustainable Use of Natural Resources and was established at the Luleå University of Technology (LTU).

CAMM, a strong research centre for mining and metallurgy

Northern Sweden is taking lead in transition to a green society with mining and metallurgical industry being major players. . Much of today's and the future's applied research in the mining industry and metal extraction originates in CAMM, Sweden's mining-oriented research initiative with needsdriven fundamental research. It also forms the base for Sweden's mining-related engineering educations.

CAMM, Center for Advanced Mining and Metallurgy, has played an important role since 2010 when Luleå University of Technology, LTU, has consolidated its position as the leading university in the Nordic region for research and education related to mining and metal extraction.
