Kick-off meeting – SLIM

LTU/Swebrec is a partner in the Horizon 2020- project SLIM (Sustainable Low Impact Mining solution for exploitation of small mineral deposits based on advanced rock blasting and environmental technologies).
The project is 4 years and involves 12 partners from 5 countries. The kick-off meeting was held in Madrid and UPM (Universidad Politécnica de Madrid) was the host of the event.
The research group Mining and Rock Engineering/Swebrec at LTU will mainly carry out research within the fields:
- Explosive characterization
- Rock characterization pre and post-blast
- Environmental impact and safety
- Plant operation monitoring and system validation

SLIM project has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme 2014-2018 under grant agreement No 730294.
