The program includes second-cycle courses of 90 credits, 15 credits second-cycle elective space and 15 credits optional space. The stated elective courses can be exchanged for other second-cycle courses within the main field of study. The compulsory courses include two degree projects of 15 credits each. The master's education in physiotherapy includes advanced knowledge and studies of people in motion and activity, with regard to their ability to perceive, exploit, control and use the body in a suitable way, taking into account the requirements that the physical and social environment sets.</span> </p> \n<p> <span> During the first year, the education contains theorising, problematising and analysis in the research field physiotherapy with a focus on human motion control from the perspectives function, activity, participation and health. Studies in scientific methodology provide advanced knowledge in qualitative and quantitative research approaches with application in physiotherapy. Furthermore, health promotion is studied, providing knowledge in planning and implementing health promotion actions for people throughout the lifespan. In addition to this, the first year studies contain evidence-based care where knowledge regarding evaluating and applying research results in practice is deepened. The elective and optional spaces during the second year are each 7.5 credits. The first year concludes with a degree project consisting of 15 credits. Knowledge in the main field of study physiotherapy is deepened in the second year. Furthermore, theorising is studied along with its application in care, nursing and rehabilitation within the research domains leadership and e-health. Since the education is preparation for doctoral studies, there is the possibility during the second year to study and deepen knowledge in scientific methodology. <span>&nbsp;</span> The second year is concluded with a degree project comprising 15 credits. The elective and optional spaces during the second year are each 7.5 credits.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; </span> </p> \n<p> <span>The possibility to receive a Master of Arts (60 credits) degree with main field of study physiotherapy after the first study year is included in the programme.</span> </p>","sv":"<!--)%(*--><p> <span>Programmet består av obligatoriska kurser om 90 hp på avancerad nivå, 15 hp valbart utrymme på avancerad nivå och 15 hp valfritt utrymme. Dessutom finns ett valbart utrymme på 7.5 hp där möjlighet att studera och ytterligare fördjupa kunskaperna inom vetenskaplig metod finns. Programmet är tvåårigt men genomförs med distansstudier på halvfart under fyra år. Distansundervisning innebär att studierna bedrivs  med stöd av disansöverbryggande informations- och kommunikationsteknik.
