This year's alumni of the year awards went to Lars-Erik Wessman, who started Pizza.nu, Katarina Willig, who works at Procter & Gamble, and Jan Ove Östensen, President of Volvo Technology (VTEC).

A few years ago, they were the diligent students at Luleå University of Technology. Today, they are successful professional men and women and all have done something extraordinary, a distinctive achievement. Now these "old" LTU students were honored Alumnus.

The business idea came as a student at the university and then resold for 250-500 million swedish crowns. Civil Engineer and inventor Lars-Erik Wessman, who was awarded the prize "Alumni of th year" by the University, is already looking for new projects to sink his teeth into
- I want to simplify the world. It's that thought that generates money in any business idea.

The former LTU student Jan Ove Östensen now has a position where he can really make a difference for our environment. As CEO of Volvo Technology, he is responsible for Volvo's concept development for heavy vehicles.
